FROM DR ROBERTS
I believe we all deserve gold medals for surviving the recent heatwave!! Hopefully we can look forward to more pleasant weather with Summer coming to an end. Autumn is traditionally made up of beautiful sunny but mild days – weather to welcome.
One of our beautiful Pre-primary mums volunteers her time with ‘Feed it Forward’, to support the current movement to reduce food waste. In her quest, she has offered to supply fresh but unsold bread to our school community on a Tuesday afternoon. We will start this in March on a one-month trial. The bread and perhaps other bakery produce will be available outside the Hawker Hub. Collecting and using free bread is such a worthy cause that we firmly support. So much food is wasted in our ‘lucky country’ but, what food waste, and more, is doing to our beautiful environment speaks for itself.
Our first assembly for the year will be with the TA9 the year 5/6 class. We hope to see many parents tomorrow.
