FROM DR. ROBERTS
We are already in week 4 of term 4 but have accomplished much including starting our professional learning to re-focus on capable students and another three hours planned on our last day of term, and our Public School Board meeting this evening.
The TA2 year two assembly was delightful as I’m certain all those who were able to attend would agree. Congratulations students and Miss Armstrong who prepared them.
You may already be aware that all personnel working on a school site must be double vaccinated, unless exempt, by the beginning of our school year 2022. To help keep us all safe, we hope as many people as possible will be vaccinated by the end of the year.
SCHOOL BANKING
Parents, please be aware that Commonwealth School Banking will finish at the end of this year. In a letter to the school from the Commonwealth Bank it was stated
“We are disappointed with the position taken by ASIC and subsequent decisions by some state and territory governments to take the choice to participate away from individual schools and parents. Because of the ASIC review and these government decisions, we are unable to continue providing programs in schools and we have had to make a difficult decision to close our School Banking program nationally”.
On behalf of our school community, we thank personnel involved with school banking and our wonderful volunteers at the school level.

DID YOU KNOW THAT …………….
- we postponed our Mud Day due to organisational matters outside our control
- it is best to firstly ask classroom teachers or administration to clarify matters rather than using face-book so you have the correct fact
- information about adjustments to the Interm Swimming went home via SkoolBag Mon 1 Nov regarding students only attending 5 lessons rather than the original 10 over the two weeks
- SkoolBag is the school’s main platform for whole school communication. Please ensure that you have registered with the App or emails
“SUPPORTING FAMILY CONVERSATIONS”
YEAR 6 PARENT INFORMATION EVENING – THURSDAY 4 NOV

It’s never too late to start talking with your child about staying safer around alcohol or the online environment.
Your child’s attitudes and behaviours are influenced by many things – friends, social media, advertising and cultural expectations around alcohol use. Fortunately, despite these influences, parents remain the single strongest influence on their child’s choices. As a parent you can act now to guide your child’s behaviour and help keep them safe. You can and do make a difference.
“Supporting Family Conversations” is a program and online resource that provides parents with advice and practical tools to assist with commencing and maintaining positive communication with your child around these (and other) difficult topics.

CHAPLAINS CHAT
Term 4 is well and truly underway!
We will be supporting Salvation Army Christmas Appeal again this year, we have done this for many years now and with such a strong, caring and giving community joining together to share in the Christmas cheer, I am always blown away by all the goodies that have come in. It will run from the 12 – 26 November. In each classroom there will be a drop off tub as well as a list of items being requested. Thank you for your continued support!
World Teacher’s Day was the 29 October, wishing all Teachers, EA’s and Support Staff a happy day. You all make a huge difference in the children’s learning and all your efforts are appreciated!
As we approach the end of the school year some children may be feeling nervous, worried, unsure or anxious about the next year which lies ahead. They could be thinking about friendship changes, new class environments and teachers; having open dialog about these thoughts is a great way to help our children sift through these thoughts and feelings whilst bringing in a bit of perspective.
When Little People are Overwhelmed
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead,
Chevonne
